God damn it. I just don’t understand how these bunch of malays don’t need face. They can, not to keep promises. I promised myself not to blog anything regarding my career. It can spell doom. But I need a place to put my frustration aside. And all these bunch of people are just unprofessional. You think it is good for business not to keep promises. As the middle person, its hard for me too. Maybe you don’t care about the other party, but I do. I have people’s reputation to take care and to keep my path open for other businesses. I don’t want to gain bad reputation in business. You must always keep your opportunities open. You don’t know when you will need them.
What are you guys thinking? I was the one following up the details all these while and suddenly you just pushed me aside and assume my roles. You think its that easy? I have my reputation towards the other party. By taking over, you have just worsen my reputation and you think its that easy? The other party never deal with you and you expect them to be nice to you and give you the so called ’special’ privileges and ’special’ rates I get? Great, this is how you guys work is it? BTW, non of you are bosses in any company or corporation yet. So don’t try to be smart and play cool. I might be a nerd to you, but I know how to get things straight. Just one question. Who will be saving your asses if any shits happens if everyone just want to be smart ass and taking over other people’s job?
Let me tell you guys, to me and maybe the Chinese in majority or anyone who survived long enough to know the real world of business, the world of business if made of 3 parts, ie: promise, trust, money. Lack of either one of these, you won’t see the other two.
From promises you fulfilled you built trust. From the trust you built, you gain more businesses and hence more money will come.

Does it matters if you feed on RSS or Atom? Both are web feed. This mean that any sites that have updates, you will get feed if you have web feeder or agregator. Firefox has built in feature that will auto detect most of these feeds including websites that has these feeds. Today’s web feed softwares have developed to the point that will support both of these format, almost flawlessly. Even Google has its own Google reader. Personally I liked Google reader because I can add it to my iGoogle page.
To start feeding (no, I am not asking you to feed on any food stuff) on Firefox, just go to any site that support RSS or Atom. You will see this orange logo on the URL bar if the site does support.

Next, click on the feed icon.
You will arrive to a page similar to this.

Select ‘Live Bookmarks’ and click ‘Subscribe Now’. To add to Google Reader, change ‘Live Bookmarks’ to ‘Google’ and click ‘Subscribe Now’. Follow the instruction next page. For Firefox, proceed below.

You can add to any folder you like, but I choose ‘Bookmarks Toolbar Folder’ so I can get my feed on the toolbar. Now I have a web feed on my toolbar. You can add more in your toolbar or Bookmarks folders.

ps: If I don’t visit your blog, doesn’t mean I don’t read it. I feed on your blog. If your blog doesn’t have feed feature, then too bad. High chance I don’t read it on regular basis or I don’t even bother to stop by. Yeah, those who blog using friendster or livejournal, you do have feed. If you think of start blogging and want people to read your blog regularly, get blogspot, wordpress or host a blog of your own which support feed.
pss: For those who lazy to blog hopping, get Google Reader or use iGoogle and add the feed to your homepage. If you think adding feed to your homepage is tedious, you can add the Google Reader widget which will simplify things. Below is a pic on how I organize my daily feed using iGoogle.

Do you know eggs can sweat? I have proof for it. Here’s the picture of those eggs.

Those eggs are from the fridge. The water droplets are due to condensation

Good. Cyberia is killing me. First, all the shops are closed, I had to survive with snail shells yesterday for dinner, Maggi for supper and this today, the only breakfast I had was some soup.
And now, after the terrible thunderstorm rain, my phone line went dead. No dial tone. This effectively means no Streamyx. No internet. !#!(^(#!#*&@!(*&$!
Oh… luckily the vege shop at HB4 open. I had to force myself to walk all over there, to get my dinner. I got my laptop along. So currently I am online at HB4. Ok. Already ordered maggi goreng take away. Its going to be my supper. I hate you Cyberia, including those town planner of Cyberjaya. Why you have to make those shops so far apart. Everything can’t be reached within walking distant. Arggghhhh… my right shoulder blade is hurting me again.
update: It wasn’t the storm fault. Suddenly 1 remembered more than a year ago i rewired the port to use pin 1 and 4 (phone port have 4 pins) instead of the standard pin 2 and 3. Just now I plugged a standard phone wire to my modem, thus the line is not working. I digged out my custom made 1-4 pin to 2-3 pin cable converter and plugged it in, the phone line is restored. Btw, I am in the middle of spring cleaning the house, thus messing up things.

I don’t know. I heard people back in KK talked about it, people blogged about it. You can read it here, here, here, and here and also here. It is some kind of sun phenomenon. It is supposed to be some sort of rainbow around the sun.

Photos credit to mizzlucy.
This is no miracle. It is not a sign from above. It is not a sign the world is going to end. This is an all natural event. Its
22° halo
Yeah, it happen almost the same way how a natural rainbow occurs. You can read more about it in Wikipedia. The article is available here.
One more time, this is not the end of the world. And for Halo game fans, rest assured this is not a promotion by Microsoft on the upcoming Halo 3.

God damn it. Another server failure. I dunno how many time this server failed me already. Already in the mode to switch to a different provider. Was about to check my yesterday’s email when I got this notice. Damn it. All my emails from Monday until today morning all gone.
Already wrote an email to support dept to see if there is any backup newer than 7 Oct (sunday) available for my server. Hopefully I can restore all my emails. I wouldn’t mine the web pages because they depend on the database for content feed, not the web files itself. But my email… Gah. Some more I am in the middle of looking for sponsorship for my Uni event.
Email from my webserver provider:
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
It has come to our attention that the server were not responding today morning (11 Oct 2007)
The reason is due to corrupted file systems (possibly caused by hard drive failure)
=================================================================
We have restored the following to all accounts:
1. All web files & e-mails data were restored to 7 Oct 2007 (Sunday)
2. All database were restored to the latest 11 Oct 2007 (Thursday)
=================================================================
The reason we did not fully restore latest files & e-mails were because some backup dates were inconsistent. Some of the account has latest backup on 11 Oct 2007 while some account has the last backup date between 7 Oct 2007 to 10 Oct 2007
NOTE: If you wish to retrieve any files you have uploaded between 8 Oct 2007 to 11 Oct 2007, please write us back an e-mail to to check further on your backup dates.
We wish to inform you that these measures taken above are our very best efforts to restore your data to the latest date possible, as quickly as possible.
The server is now online 1:20PM (Thursday) +8GMT Malaysia
Thank you
